I was nervous at the thought of Julia being there because I'm a first time mom and can be pretty shy about my body. However, she did an amazing job at being a "fly on the wall." I was comfortable the entire time and once my contractions got intense and birth became closer, I had totally forgotten she was even there. My birth was three days long and Julia was there for every long hour. Afterwards, she stayed for another 2-3 hours to get videos of the baby being weighed and foot printed as well as breastfeeding and newborn snuggles. The video she returned to me, after three weeks, was amazing. I was worried it would be me moaning the entire time as I was very vocal during my labor and birth. She did a perfect job of capturing intimate moments and moments of work and determination. It made me see my birth from a different perspective and see just how beautiful it was. She also included a few photos and a shorter video that was more appropriate for social media. The video is something I'll cherish forever. Thank you Julia so much! Julia is the absolutely the best birth videographer. After my first consultation with Julia, I felt so good about having her attend my birth, she made me feel so comfortable and excited. I'm not gunna lie, before meeting her, I was so nervous about having someone take pictures during my most vulnerable moments, but she did a great job of finding my best angles and highlighting the beauty of child birth. She captured the whole birth so beautifully and authentically. I'm so glad I had her come, it's so special to look back on the day my tiny baby was born. I still tear up every time I watch it.
